The Gibbous Moon
by Doug Scobel
Saturday, June 26, 2004: I just got home from Peach Mountain and had to take
a look at the pictures I took of the moon. A few came out pretty good
so I just had to share them. They’re all taken with a Nikon Coolpix
800, hand held at the eyepiece of my 8-inch f/8. The full view of the
gibbous moon is with a 32mm A. Jaegers symmetrical; the close-ups of the northern
and southern hemispheres are with a 14mm Televue Radian. In all pictures
south is at the top.
