Taken by Mark Deprest at prime focus through an 8 inch Meade LX10 SCT. Mark used a 1/5000 second exposure.
Photograph was taken on May 9, 1998 from Mark’s residence. A
solar filter was used to take this photograph.
WARNING: Viewing the sun without proper protective devices (such as a solar filter) can result in permanent
eye damage.
