Proposal Management: Interested Party

Overview

The Interested Party role in eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) is for U-M personnel who have interest in sponsored projects but do not have direct responsibility for proposal processing.

Interested Party Home Workspace

Your Home Workspace is your launch pad for eResearch Proposal Management. It allows you to:

  • View information about all projects and track the current state of projects.
  • Access projects in order to view information related to a project.

A Roles - Your available roles display. If you have multiple roles (e.g., Interested Party and PI & Project Team), click the role name to switch between roles. Your active role displays in bold. The role selected determines what is displayed in your Home Workspace.
B Top navigation tabs links to different pages for:
  • Path >> - Click to display a breadcrumb view of your navigation path
  • My Home - Click to return to the first page of your Home Workspace from any page in the system at any time
  • Search - Use to search PAFs or Awards that you are associated with
  • All PAFs, All UFAs, All SUBKs - Shows comprehensive lists of all projects in every state
  • All Awards - Shows all Awards that you have access to view
  • Dept Info - Look up Department Information such as Unit Liaisons, Contacts, Reviewers, and Email Notification recipients
  • Reports - Links to Central Office and Campus Administrative Personnel reports
C Tabs organize your Home Workspace into the following sections:
  • Created/Pending/Active PAFs
  • Cancelled/Withdrawn/Turned Down PAFs
  • Created/Pending/Active AWDs
  • Closed/Terminated Awards
  • Created/Pending/Active UFAs
  • Closed/Withdrawn/Turned Down UFAs
  • More... (click to view more tabs)
D Filter – Allows you to search for projects by ID (number), name, state, PI, or department. Select a Filter by criteria, enter a keyword in the field, and click Search.
E Projects/PAFs/UFAs/Awards/Proposals are listed in your Home Workspace. You can click on the Name link to access its project workspace. You can sort your list by clicking the column headers.
F State – Location where the project is in the process, e.g., Active, ORSP Approved
G Logoff – Click the drop-down menu by your name, then click Logoff to exit eResearch Proposal Management.

Search

The Search tab has sub-tabs for PAF Query, Project Team PAF Search, and eRA Commons ID

Project Workspace

A project workspace is available for a project after it is created in eResearch Proposal Management. The project workspace allows you to:

  • View information regarding the project (e.g., basic information, reviewers, activity history, comments, etc.)
  • View Current State of project.
  • Complete Activities related to the project (e.g., Post a Comment for the Entire Project)

Important Information What can be viewed in the project workspace depends on the project’s location in the routing and approval process (State).

View Project Information

View PAF Summary

Refer to PAF Summary for step-by-step instructions on how to view and print the PAF Summary.

Documents

  1. Click the Attachments tab from the project workspace.
  2. Click the File name to open a document.
  3. Click View Version History icon or Version number (i.e., 0.01) to view and open previous versions of the document.

Grants.gov Application

  1. Click Display SF-424 PDF from the project workspace under Grants.Gov Forms.
  2. (Optional) Click Print.
  3. Click "back" in your browser window to return to the project workspace.
