I administer a small heterogenous LAN. The main server is a PC running
FreeBSD 2.2.6, with samba and netatalk among other things. One of the
Macs is a PowerMac 7600/132 upgraded to MacOS 8.5.1. The users complained
that this box would occassionally drop its connection to the PC, which had
been running asun 2.1.0. I upgraded to 2.1.2-2, which has made things
worse. The client box locks up, and the PC has already run out of network
buffers, requiring a reboot.

Is anyone using asun successfully with MacOS 8.5.1? If so, I'll start
digging thru the FreeBSD archives to see if there's still a known problem
with the appletalk code...
