The Gamma Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was founded on the University of Michigan campus in 1940. In 1976, women were allowed to pledge and become active members within the fraternity. Service projects have changed from year to year. Some early Gamma Pi projects included giving campus tours, counting ballots, staffing the Michigan Union and ushering at campus events. One project that has been maintained throughout the years is the blood drive competition with Ohio State and Michigan State. Our chapter is led by the following amazing people:
