Speaking Out...The Latino Task Force

The Latino Task Force helps build and strengthen the unity and the communication within the Latino community. The Task Force also allocates money for programs that lead to the development of the Latino community and the education of the entire University of Michigan community about Latino culture. The Latino Task Force is composed of members from many other Latino organizations. Each organization selects one person to serve a year term in the Latino Task Force and, in addition, there are two at-large and two first-year members in the Task Force. An annual retreat is held to discuss the Task Force's goals for the year.27 Task Force meetings are held once a week and they are open to everyone, so don't forget to stop by!

Social/Political/Community Organizations Getting involved in an organization can be a great way to help improve the Latino community on campus and at large.

Sororities If you are seeking empowerment as a woman of color and you want to create a lifelong sisterhood with other women then a sorority is for you.

Fraternities Are you in need of a strong Latino brotherhood or are you interested in joining other Latino men in the fight for positive representation? If so, become a part of the many Latino fraternities on campus.
