Orlando "The Baby Bull" Cepeda is the son of legendary Puerto Rican baseball star, Pedro Perucho.  "The Bull" was only 20 years old when he arrived in the Major Leagues in 1958.  He appeared in three World Series finals, was a seven-time All-Star (1959-1964, 1967) and was the National League MVP in 1967 with the St. Louis Cardinals.  Cepeda was known to get that clutch hit or home run to knock in winning runs late in the game.

After his retirement in 1975, Cepeda was recognized nationally for his humanitarian efforts as an ambassador for baseball.  In 1993, he was inducted into the Puerto Rico Sports Hall of Fame, but just missed being voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by a mere seven votes. On July 25, 1999, Cepeda was welcomed by Commissioner Bud Selig into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Cepeda is only the sixth Hispanic and joined Roberto Clemente as the first two Puerto Rican players inducted in the National Baseball Hall of Fame (35).
