Lombardo reagent at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred for additional 8 min and quenched with

saturated NaHCO3 solution. The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate, dried over MgSO4. After filtration of the

solid, the liquid mixture was concentrated under vacuum and the residue was purified via flash chromatography to afford

olefin 42 as 1:1 C-16 epimers (13 mg, 85% yield). One of the epimers was isolated as a pure compound.
