On behalf of the International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing, I am pleased to share with you the program for the biennial meeting of INDEN. The meeting will be held at the Southern Sun North Beach Hotel, Durban, South Africa, June 24-25, 2009. Please note also that there will be a Doctoral Student workshop on June 26, 2009 without charge; the information can be viewed at the INDEN website.

I hope you will agree with me that the theme of International Doctoral Education: Are We Meeting the Global Leadership Challenge is a compelling one, and meets an important need for our time.

Please plan to attend, and encourage colleagues and doctoral students to do so as well. We will appreciate if you would share the conference information with others and post a copy in a visible location. The conference brochure and a one-page flyer are available on the Conference web page.

INDEN is in the process of creating a database of nursing doctoral programs worldwide to facilitate faculty and student exchange opportunities. To that end, we are asking members and others with doctoral programs to complete the survey by clicking on the link below. We ask that the survey be completed by an individual that has broad knowledge of the doctoral program.
