Rare Events Statistics of Random Walkers on the Line

Abstract:

The survival probability of various orderings of random walkers on the line is a problem that has attracted considerable attention, both on its own right as well as for its connection to random matrices. We review some of the basic facts and point to a few remaining puzzling open questions.
