Kennedy

APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEIVING. In the above photo, the men pictured, André Gromyko, Anatoly Dobrynin, and John F. Kennedy, appear to be thoroughly enjoying each other's company. But what can't you see?

So what does this have to do with a News Bias web site?

As demonstrated by the above image, what you see is not always indicative of the real story. This applies not only to images, but to news stories as well. What you read and/or see is not the entire event, but rather a version of the event that often contains various forms of bias. This site demonstrates how the media is influenced, and how these influences manifest themselves in the news.

After you have made your way through the sections on the left, we hope that we will have equipped you with the tools to read news more critically and intelligently.
