I joined PROVIDES at the beginning of winter semester of my freshmen year.  I really liked the PROVIDES executive board and also found it important that PROVIDES' focus is on children because they are the future of our world.  After my freshmen year I decided to apply for the E-Board and was chosen to be secretary for my sophomore year and then vice president for my junior year.

I chose to join PROVIDES my freshman year because I wanted to learn more about world poverty. After the first mass meeting, I knew that PROVIDES would be a group that I would continue with. It’s reassuring to know that PROVIDES is able to offer hope and resources to children and communities in third world countries.

One of my greatest accomplishments is hiking a 1400-meter mountain in Korea.
