login

The steps are numbered. You should do them in order.

1. Telnet to tempter.arts.cornell.edu
2. You will be prompted to enter your login id. Enter the first portion of you email address (eg. jnw4@cornell.edu would enter jnw4). You will then be prompted for your password.
3. If this is your first time logging in, please check with me for your initial password. Once you are logged on, you will be prompted to change your password to something you can remember but that should be hard for someone else to guess.
4. The computer should show the prompt tempter%
5. At the prompt type tempter% emacs
