eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) Update 2/27/2009
eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) pilot has been going very well and continues to make good progress towards the eRPM campus-wide release.
eRPM ALL CAMPUS RELEASE LATE MARCH 2009
- Working to resolve a few items identified by pilot users before campus release in late March 2009.
- Continuing efforts to prepare campus through training and planning assistance to units.
- See the February 2009 edition of the Research Reporter to hear what pilot users are saying about the experience.
eRPM TRAINING
- Goal to provide training "just-in-time" training (very close to when individuals need to begin to use the system).
- Working with units to schedule training based on when their unit will require eRPM.
- Scheduling specific training courses for UMHS, College of Engineering, LSA, ISR, Kinesiology, School of Information, Public Health, Dentistry, Dearborn & Flint.
- Units will share more details.

AWARD NOTIFICATION
- Since 1/5/09, award information (PANs, PACs, award documents) has been generated in and distributed directly from the eRPM system.
- Improvements made based on research community feedback:
- Subject line improved
- PAN text moved to improve printability
- PAN/PAC numbering improvements
- Coming soon - PAN/PAC e-mail recipients listed in message
- Tip for Plain Text E-mail Users, (e.g., Groupwise):
- Turn on the option to view html messages so that document links in PANs/PACs are clickable.
