  • 2 Exams @75 pts each = 150 pts (54%)
  • 6 quizzes @10 pts each = 60 pts (22%)
  • 27 Personal Assessment/Labs = 40 pts (15%)
  • 13 Workbook Chapters @2 pts per chapter = 26 pts (9%)

Grades [total pts earned ÷ 280] are criterion referenced: 90–92.9% = A-, 93–96.9% = A, 97-100% = A+; 80–82.9% = B-, 83–86.9% = B, 87-90% = B+; 70–72.9% = C-, 73–76.9% = C, 77-80% = C+; 60–62.9% = D-, 63–66.9% = D, 67-70% = D+; <60 = E

Exams

Two Exams @75 pts. Format is multiple choice, true false, and some short answer. Questions from all material from the course (reading; lectures; movies). Exams are cumulative and closed book.

Six multiple-choice quizzes, 10 points each. Material will come from text only. Quizzes are given at the beginning of the class (see schedule on course outline)

Active Learning Workbook
Complete each chapter of the workbook including quiz (not including thought questions).
Personal Assessments/Labs
Each chapter has associated labs/assessments. You receive 1 point for successfully completing the lab (complete lab; neatness counts) and 1 point for completing a summary statement about the labs for that chapter.

Extra Credit Assignments

No extra credit assignments this semester

There are no make-ups, no re-makes, and no exceptions unless agreed in advance. If you miss an assignment it will be considered “late” (maximum worth = half credit). If you miss an exam or quiz there are no make-ups.
