Rooms:
Three words for ya: Your own room! We’ve all been through having to share a dorm room as a freshman, and it’s an experience that none of us want to ever have to repeat. Here at Nu Sigma Nu you are given your own room, your own privacy, the ability to come and go as you please, not having to worry about disturbing (or being disturbed by) a roommate, in other words, a place to call your own. Having privacy and independence can be a huge factor in your overall quality of life here in medical school. As for the actual room, it is 15.5 ft by 9.5 ft, and includes a bed, a desk, 84 ft3 of closet space, high-speed internet and access to cable. Most of the rooms have balconies as well. Every room recently received brand-new doors and lights, and we plan on putting in new carpeting and blinds in the rooms in the summer of 2007.

Library:
We know that medical school will consume you with work. Nu Sigma Nu students are the top students here at Michigan and we will make your scholastic experience ultimate. In our quiet, enclosed library, you will find all required books for your four years at medical school, in addition to copious supplementary resources for your edification. There are large wooden tables and comfortable chairs in a very well-lit room adorned with pictures of our esteemed alumni and even anatomical diagrams! Outside the library is an outdoor bike rack and a large picnic table surrounded by benches; perfect for a well-deserved break! Study hard and we ensure success.

Lounge:
So after a long day of studying, you will want to relax. What would be better than sitting in front of an enormous 62-inch flat screen television with all the channels you’d want, attached to a DVD player (we have our own DVD collection) and VCR, while you banter with friends?! When the weather is nice, go ahead and barbeque on the adjoined porch; we provide the gas and the barbeque, you provide the sustenance.

Weight Room:
A perfect outlet after to relieve your med school-induced stress. And when it's freezing outside and there's ice and snow covering the ground, you won't have to worry about battling the elements to go get some exercise...simply walk downstairs and you'll be able to work out in the comforts of your own home. The weight room includes a Stairmaster, free weights, bench press, lat-press, inclined bench, pull-up bar, exercise balls, punching bag and much, much more!

Dining Area:
We have large tables to accommodate the dining needs of all our residents. After you’re done eating, enjoy a game of foos-ball or ping-pong. The tables are located to the rear of the hall and there is always a competitor to challenge! The dining area is linked to the lounge, so watch TV or your favorite movie while you eat.

Kitchen:
As a resident of Nu Sigma Nu, you will have your own personal cupboard, freezer, and refrigerator space in our several industrial-size units to store all of your food and beverages. We have an 8-range stove, 2 large ovens, 2 sinks, and ample counter space for all your cooking needs. In addition, any utensil, dinnerware, or appliance you can think of is provided for your use, free of cost. Such items include a rotisserie, a coffeemaker, a breadmaker, a rice cooker, a toaster, two microwaves, a blender, and all things George Foreman has ever endorsed! And when you’re done, all you do is wash your dishes and place them near our brand-new sanitizer.

Basement:
Downstairs, in addition to three tenant rooms, there is a beautiful oak pool table with all the necessary accessories. Linked to this are two areas that make Nu Sigma Nu all brains and braun – a computer room with high-speed internet access and printer and a weight room with Stairmaster, free weights, bench press, lat-press, inclined bench, and much, much more! Adjoined to the weight room is a bathroom with a personal shower, sink, and toilet.

Laundry Area:
We have two washing machines and two dryers on both main resident floors. These are what keep us the cleanest and brightest in medical school! Best attribute here: wash and dry all your loads free of charge! That’s right, free laundry.

Parking:
Another great reason to live at Nu Sigma Nu is the free parking we provide to all of our residents. Ann Arbor is a congested town and parking is usually bought at an unbelievable premium. Take the hassle out of your transportation needs: with a 10-minute walk to Central Campus and a 12-minute walk to the medical school, keep your car here!

Mail Room :
You will have your own personal mailbox and if you receive any packages when you are not home, you will find them safely placed here by one of your housemates. Linked to this room is a bathroom with a large mirror, in case you need to pretty yourself for that hot date!
