Who We Are:
The boosters club, Friends of Michigan Women's Lacrosse, is organized as a 501 (c )3 tax exempt nonprofit corporation.
In recognition of the importance of the University of Michigan Women's Club Lacrosse experience to a group of exceptional student athletes, our objectives are:
Importance of Financial Support:
The University of Michigan Women's Club Lacrosse team competes at a national level, has received an invitation to the National Tournament in nine of the last ten years, and has finished in the top ten nationally in all of those years but one, and has finished in the top five, in six of those years. This level of competition and success requires a meaningful budget to travel and compete in a number of out-of-state competitive tournaments throughout the season. Direct support from the University is very limited. The team's budget reflects a thoughtful combination of dues and fund raising activities. An emphasis on fund raising activity has grown over time to cover rising expenses, as the Club's officers and coaches have worked hard to maintain dues at a level which makes participation a broad opportunity.
