Coach John Sung

Assistant Coach: John Sung
John Sung began coaching lacrosse in 1997 with the Birmingham Men's team, taking them to a state runner-up finish in 97'. He also began coaching the women's program of Birmingham in 97', winning the first of four State Championships in his 6 years. He has graduated over 40 All State players, 18 All Midwest tournament players, 8 Midwest National players, and 4 All-Americans. Through his specialization with goalies, his net-minders have received All State, All Midwest, and All American recognition. John also played four years of varsity lacrosse at Troy Athens and was State runner up in 1995 and 1996. He went on to play his college lacrosse at Oakland University where he started as a freshman.

At Michigan, John has help develop the goalies to compete at the highest levels. Under his supervision he has help Jaclyn Fu to 2005 per season player of the year, second team All American and 2004 IA National Tournament Defensive MVP.

John also serves as the WCLL Vice Commissioner and on the WDIA National Ranking committee.

John resides in Sterling Heights with his wife Kristy and first child, Abby 2.
