This is my biggest problem with Netatalk. I've only noticed it since I
upgraded to 8.1.

The Mac goes to copy a file, and gets this error message:

File 'Growing Cubes': can't read, error -1072 (AppleTalk: connection closed)

The volume then disappears from the desktop. I can make this happen any
time I want, just by trying to read this file (or a hundred others).
All I have to do to find them is to try to use Retrospect to copy the
volume, and it bombson the first one, but you can get the same effect
by trying to drag the file to another disk.

The file looks like this on the Unix system:

-rwxrwxr-x 1 System mac 311424 Dec 2 1995 Growing Cubes*

and the AppleDouble looks like this.

6# od -b 'Growing Cubes'
