Fat Joe, aka Joseph Cartagena, was born on August 19th, 1970 in the Bronx, New York.  Like his friend Big Pun, the South Bronx showed Fat Joe to his path in life.  Fat Joe wanted to take his Latino roots to the rap scene. In 1993, Fat Joe was able to sign to Relativity Records and release his debut album Represent.  Since this debut album, Fat Joe has released 3 more albums, titled Jealous Ones Envy, Don Cartagena, and the sequel to this Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.).  He has received great support from fans and has achieved a successful status as a Latino rap star.  He has starred in numerous tracks with other rap and R&B stars such as DJ Premier, Foxy Brown, R. Kelly, Ludacris, and even his Puerto Rican brother Big Pun.  He is also credited with leading the Terror Squad crew, a collection of mostly Latino rappers. Fat Joe does not stop with just music. He has made a few short appearances in movies and also owns his own clothing line.
