Lock & Key Points
About
Lock & Key Points are earned by attending UM Golden Key events. For most Golden Key-sponsored event that you participate in, you will earn 10 points. This includes general meetings, social events, academic events, and volunteer help at the Induction Ceremony and Sophomore Recognition. Participation in service events will earn you 20 points or more adjustable according to the duration of the service.
Rewards
Earning at least 50 points per semester gives you the distinction of being an Active Member of Golden Key. Members who maintain two semesters of Active Membership (100 points+) are awarded with Distinguished Member status.
50 points a semester: Active Member status
100 points+ total: Distinguished Member status
Distinguished Members are further rewarded with the following to wear at Commencement (only one reward per graduating senior):
100 points: Honor Cord
150 points: Honor Medallion
200 points: Honor Stole
