    WOMEN'S ISSUES - "Where My Girls At?"

    Mga kapitid ng babae, mga anak ng babae, mga asawa, mga inay, mga dalaga, mga Pinay, mga Filipina - As sisters, daughters, wives, mothers, and young women of strong Filipino culture and values living in America, we share unique experiences filled with joys and sorrows. College oppurtunities; Carreer options; Motherhood; Notions of the glass-ceiling; Domestic violence; Sexism; These and similar issues regarding the experiences of the Filipino American woman will be tackled and discussed through this workshop.


    SEXUALITY - "Let's Talk About Seks"
    What does sexuality mean to you? Pleasure? Senuality? Abstinence? Sexual identity? Heterosexuality? Homosexuality? Bisexuality? What does it mean to be a sexual being tied to a Filipino American identity? This workshop will explore such issues.


    HEALTH ISSUES - "Rescue 911"
    So, what is really going on inside of our bodies? Are you just watching your health or are you protecting it? Diseases such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and even high blood pressure are prominent not only in the world, but in the Asian/Filipino community in particular. This workshop will bring to light the health ailments that we should be aware of as Filipino Americans, and it will provide the knowledge we need to prevent them.
