The following changes will be included in the 3.1.29 release:

 

UCUCA/ULAM

A bug preventing conditional Procedure (Surgery) questions from appearing in the Printer Friendly View has been fixed.

The following question changes have been made to the Protocol Hazards Detail Page:

  • Nine questions have been removed
  • One new Risk question has been added
  • One question has been reworded

PI/Lab Personnel

The Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) is moving to a Use Category (UC) Scale that more closely aligns U-M practices with those of other peer institutions and addresses feedback given by the AAALAC Council on Accreditation.

Animal Protocols for ALL species will now use a letter scale of Use Categories C, D and E to define requested Authorized numbers. The previous 1-9 scale will map to the new letter scale as follows:

  • Use Categories 1-2 = C
  • Use Categories 3-6 = D
  • Use Categories 7-9 = E

The following question on the protocol Species page is now required: Will any of the animals used, generated, or acquired for this protocol be transgenic or genetically modified?
ITS will now populate Animal-Related eMail groups instead of from MSIS. The ACUO also has the ability to maintain default members.
