    Founded in 1994 by the Center for the Education of Women and the Women's Studies Program, WOCAP grew out of discussions with women of color faculty who expressed their concerns that there needed to be extended, focused attention to issues pertaining to women of color faculty and students. The Project is currently supported by the Office of the Provost and is administered through the Center for the Education for Women.

    The Committee on Women in Science and Engineering (CWSE) was established in 1991 as a standing committee of the National Research Council (NRC). CWSE's mandate is to coordinate, monitor, and advocate action to increase the participation of women in science and engineering.

    NSF ADVANCE is a five-year, grant funded project promoting institutional transformation in science and engineering fields. The goals of this program are to improve recruitment and retention of women faculty in science and engineering and to improve the institutional climate.
