I'm continuously working on the information for the next two generations of the family. If you are a family member and have information or photographs to send, please e-mail them to me: derekbetsy@comcast.net.

Anna's Family

Aunt Anna (we called her "Anne", born 1914) married Matt Beres and raised a family of two daughters in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Anne and Matt both passed away in the spring of 1979, just a month apart.

  • Anne Marie (whom we've never known by anything but Dolly) is married to Paul W. (May 1973) and they have three children:  Angie, Monica, and Joey.  Monica married Adam G. (August 2003) and they have a daughter, McKenna Rose, born May 2006.  Angie is married to ____ Denu and they have ____ children. Joey is married to Mandy.

  • Patty is married to Bill B. (October 1993) and has two daughters from a previous marriage:  Kimmy is married to Donald B and they have a son, Casen, and a daughter, Elliot. Missy is married to Matt P.

Ted's Family

Uncle Ted (born 1916) never married or had children.  He lived his whole life in the family's home town of Rib Lake, Wisconsin.  He passed away in 1994.

Hilbert's Family

Uncle Hilbert (born 1918) married Marion and raised a family in Wisconsin.  Uncle Hilbert passed away in 2005; he was the last surviving Dietzler sibling of that generation.

  • Delbert is single.  He does not have children.

  • Mary (sometimes referred to as "Mary Kay" when she was younger) is married to Steven F.  They have one son, Mark, and one daughter, Sarah, who is engaged to a young man named Adam.

  • Pat is married to Roy R.  They do not have children.

  • David is married to Sharon.  They have three children:  Greg, Rachel, and Brian. Greg is married to Heather, and they welcomed a daughter, Madison Raina, in August 2009 and a son, Colin Ryan, in November 2012. Rachel and Brian are single.

Arlene's Family

Aunt Arlene (born 1919) married Paul F. and raised a family in Wisconsin.  Aunt Arlene passed away in 1988.  Uncle Paul passed away in 1969 (?).

  • Maris is married to Jim T.  They have three children:  Jason, Suzanne, and Mike.  Jason is married to Kendra, and they have two children:  Kristina and Andrew.  Suzanne and Mike are single.

  • Lois is not married.  She lives in the family home near Medford.

  • Layne is dating Cindy M.  He has a daughter, Katie, from a previous marriage.

  • Nancy is married to Jeff W.  They have one daughter, Stefanie, who is single.

  • Terese is married to Jim P.  They have one son, Shayne.  Shayne has a son from a previous marriage, Hunter.

  • Rita is single.  She has a daughter, Jessica Lynn, who is single.

Roman's Family

Uncle Roman (born 1920) married Betty and raised a family in Albuquerque.  Uncle Roman passed away in 1998 after logging over 3 million accident-free miles as a truck driver (he was rightfully very proud of this, and shared this with me via letters that we exchanged from the mid-1980s until his death).  Aunt Betty is alive and quite the little spark plug!  I had the pleasure of meeting her when I was in Albuquerque for a conference in 2002, and it was a challenge keeping up with her, 50+ years my senior!

  • Carle is married to William D.  They do not have children.

  • Tom was married to Peg.  Tom passed away unexpectedly in 2007. They have one child, Tobey, who is married to (?).

Agnes' Family

Agnes (born 1923) married Arlington Sundholm and started the gene pool in which I swim.  For all of Arly & Agnes' family, click here

Berdena's Family

Aunt Dena (born 1925) did not have any children, but loved animals and traveling.  She spent her life--especially her golden years-- seeing the U.S. in an RV with her lifelong best friend, Ruthann P., and various dogs and cats.  Dena passed away in 1999.

* For my whole life, I believed that Barbara and Emil had immigrated from Germany, but Aunt Cheryl provided further clarification on this when she visited my website!  She says, "I'm pretty sure that both Emil and Barbara were born in the U.S.  I think maybe even Great Grandpa Peter Joseph Dietzler (Emil's father) may even have been born here.  Because I know that he fought in the Civil War.  When I was a little girl, I remember Grandma Dietzler telling me about the sword, cap and even the trombone on the wall in her living room!  They belonged to Great Grandpa Dietzler and he had used them in the Civil War!  I believe that one of the cousins has those items.  At least I hope they still do.  I really should try to get in touch with Maris and ask if she knows."
