Sean paid me a visit in the summer of 1998.  He's a war & aviation history buff, so I took him to the Yankee Air Museum in Willow Run (which burned down in 2004!):

Sean's next visit was in the summer of 2003.

We had a visitor in the driveway the first morning:

You can tell I just woke up; just check out my HAIR!

We did lots of things while he was here, including the Zoo:

Sean with a red panda Sean & an elephant Betz & giraffes

The highly acclaimed polar bear exhibit By the fountain

...that night we went to Cabela's for a little while:

Derek, Sean, and a gigantic elk Derek, Sean, and the Cabela's mountain

...and a baseball game at Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers):

The boys look out at the promenade:  games, rides, etc. The scoreboard Here's all 3 of us

Sean enjoys a $7 beer Derek enjoys a $7 beer (mind you, the tickets to get in were only $6!) My favorite photo of the whole visit!

Mom visits almost every year around Thanksgiving--sometimes a week or two before, sometimes a week or two after.  Here's one of her first visits, when I took her to Cabela's for the first time:
